North America's #1 most livable city was just revealed and it's this stunning Canadian spot
Can you guess which city took home the title?

Vancouver city. Right: The most livable city in Canada.
Only one Canadian city has cracked the top 10 on a new global ranking of the world's most livable cities — and it took the top spot in all of North America.
The Global Liveability Index 2025 was released by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), and evaluates cities based on factors like infrastructure, healthcare, education, culture, and environment. This year's ranking of the world's most liveable cities placed Vancouver alongside global hubs like Copenhagen, Sydney, and Geneva.
While Vancouver remained strong — coming in at 10th place globally with an overall index score of 95.8 — not all Canadian cities held onto their rankings. Calgary, which was ranked fifth globally last year, took a major tumble, falling to 18th place in 2025.
Toronto also saw a dip. It landed in 16th place, slipping four spots from last year, earning it a mention on the list of cities that experienced the biggest drops over the past 12 months.
Vancouver now holds the title as Canada's most livable city, and it's easy to see why. With city beaches, mountain views, lush forests, and more, it offers a rare balance of natural beauty and urban convenience.
So if you're dreaming of a lifestyle with ocean sunsets and world-class amenities — Vancouver might just be calling your name.
