With the participants of the Eurovision 2025 grand final confirmed after the two semi-finals, the EBU has now revealed the running order for Saturday’s show.

Hosts Switzerland had previously been drawn to perform 19th in the grand final during March’s Heads of Delegation meeting. Show producers have now determined that Norway will open the show, whilst Albania has the honour of closing the show.

Eurovision 2025 grand final running order

  1. Norway
  2. Luxembourg
  3. Estonia
  4. Israel
  5. Lithuania
  6. Spain
  7. Ukraine
  8. United Kingdom
  9. Austria
  10. Iceland
  11. Latvia
  12. The Netherlands
  13. Finland
  14. Italy
  15. Poland
  16. Germany
  17. Greece
  18. Armenia
  19. Switzerland
  20. Malta
  21. Portugal
  22. Denmark
  23. Sweden
  24. France
  25. San Marino
  26. Albania

How is the running order decided?

The Eurovision running order is decided through a two-step process. First, the finalists randomly choose from a pot whether they would perform in the first half, the second half, or receive a producer’s choice — the option that gives the organisers free rein over where an act is placed in the grand final.

Producers then arrange the acts considering two main criteria (1) creating an interesting show (aka, mixing up genres and the visual flow and feel of the show) and (2) practicalities (like how long it will take to construct and deconstruct various stage props).

Countries drawing first half: Austria, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Spain, Ukraine

Countries drawing second half: Albania, Armenia, Denmark, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland

Producer’s choice: Estonia, Greece, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Sweden, United Kingdom

Does running order impact a country’s chances of victory?

It is generally considered favourable to perform from a later position in the running order. Several recent winners performed in the second half of the show, including Italy’s Måneskin (24th in 2021), Israel’s Netta (22nd in 2018) and Ukraine’s Jamala (21st in 2016).

But winning from an earlier position isn’t unheard of. Sweden’s Loreen (9th in 2023), Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra (12th), Portugal’s Salvador Sobral (11th) and the Netherlands’ Duncan Laurence (12th) all performed in the first half.

The only running order position to have never produced a winner is the second place draw, often considered “the death slot”. But remember — there’s a first time for everything!

What do you think of the Eurovision 2025 grand final running order? When does your favourite act perform. Let us know in the comments below.

My prediction for top 5 1st France 2nd Austria 3rd Switzerland 4th Israel 5th Sweden Sweden will not do as well with the televoters as they think top 10 at the most. Will pick up jury votes for 3rd place. Israel will win with televotes and pick up top 10 in jury. Switzerland will be 2nd in jury and surprise top 5 with televote. Austria will be 4th with jury and 2nd in televote France will win jury and 3rd with televote. I think san Mario will be last. I think the uk will be nearly last with the televote.… Read more »

This year it’s so open, usually at this point you know it’s down to one or two countries, this year you could make a valid argument for approx 7 songs to win Some thoughts… Switzerland will damage Frances televote domination and therefore we won’t see France win. Estonia will impact Swedens televote domination and we wont see Sweden win. This I think leaves us with 3 countries that could score really well with both jury or televote, Austria, Finland or Albania. Unfortunately while I love it I don’t think Albania is mainstream enough to get enough support across the board.… Read more »

Austria is the only country with winner vibes in my opinion. Sweden is the most fun, positive and catchy but it’s not really exceptional and outstanding. Austria brings emotions and has creative staging. I agree with what you wrote pretty much on everything in your voting analysis. I just personally think Estonia will have more than 200 points from the televotes, Israel will do very well in both voting and may end up in top 3 unfortunately and Switzerland will end up around 12-15 places as its a little bit too boring and overshadowed by France.

Considering how much love juries have for Sweden always whatever it sends I fear they have voted massively for Sweden also this for mediocre joke entry… Pity because I would have liked to see another country winning like France that I haven’t seen winning in my life and who puts good effort and also Austria, Finland, Greece , Spain and others who have way better songs than Sweden. But Swedish television has the victory for granted and they are making announcements about where and how they will host ESC 2026…

I don’t have a real favourite this time, but some songs I like. Lucio Corsi (Volevo essere un duro) won’t win, but the song is nice. The same is true for Abor and Tynna (Baller). Also not a winner, but I guess I will listen to that song after this year as well. I think the bookies are right and that KAJ will win. It is a funny song and it is a great achievement that KAJ was the winner of Melodifestivalen. Well deserved! No more Mans Zelmerlöw! I guess Austria will be second and Finland will be third. I really would like Lucio to inspire other true artists to do what he does: just write song from heart and sing. With lyrics and meaning. With authenticy. Focused on song coming from heart rather than creating a mix of songs in one. Artists who can sing from heart keep the attention and they don’t need to overanalyse every second of performance to keep the attention. We are attracted to feelings and authenticity. This year Eurovision went way too far into effects and over the top attention-seeking scripted performances. And because of that I wish luck to Italy, Portugal and… Read more »

I did the math, here are my results:

Finland or Austria will win. Albania is the dark horse, but very unlikely

Austria wins the jury vote. Sweden, the televote

San Marino will finish last

The largest discrepancy between jury and televote will be of Estonia’s

Top 10: Finland, Sweden, Austria, Albania, France, Switzerland, Israel, Greece, Germany and Estonia.

ESC community again living in the bubble. Mas*urbating weather Sweden or Austria will win. Neither one will win. Austria was lackluster in the semi and has an awful running order. Sweden fun, but we saw that there are many more polished songs. It is another 2021. There won’t be a runaway winner. Remember that televote loves ballads more than jury does joke-y songs. It will be France/Switzerland/Greece.

Tbh I consider Käärijä’s song from 2023 as a joke-y act and he still managed to grab 150 point from jury. I’m expecting KAJ to do as much because their music is unifying and they sing pretty well (better than Käärijä, I might add). I wouldn’t underestimate them, really. France and Switzerland could possibly do better with the jury but not Greece (despite singing beautifully, the performance is forgettable and jury takes that into consideration).

Given the amount of jury bait in the final this year, I think the televote will prove more vital. Aside from Israel and Ukraine’s guaranteed handouts, the only real televote-aimed song is a bit… Crap… So that means a lot more available to the more competitive entries. I think it’ll be a much more interesting result this year regardless of who wins

Latin American countries do not have many people watching Eurovision, and even less people paying to vote for it. In Brazil one vote is very expensive, and most of the people don’t even know about the contest. Plus, people from Latin American countries aren’t super crazy about Spain and Portugal. Btw the EBU published a list with the countries that voted the most as “Rest of the World”, few latin American countries were listed.

Just saw a video of Björ_kman praising Albánia and that’s why he put it last as it is real music and wanted to end with a class act, but in the process he just admited that he is the one making up the order and not the local host boradcaster. Like we did not know, but he just admited it

I think people tend to overlook at the running order aims to make the best watchable show. Also, certain songs do draw 1st half or 2nd half so flexibility is slim and then there are prop heavy songs and ad breaks to fit in. The public tend to be a bit fickle. It’s a long, long show. You need something decent at the end to keep people watching. Also, how many votes will the public cast at a fee. I don’t think an early slot is bad. If people vote for songs between 1-13, will they spend and spend again… Read more »

Yeah, totally agree! My family’s gonna be watching it tomorrow, and they haven’t heard any of the songs from it, and this lineup will be entertaining for them to watch

Anyone else not really arsed about the running order and just looking forward to a great night? Anyone…?

I think a lot of people here are overestimating the result obtained by Estonia in the semi final. I think people realized the guy can’t sing and the song, while being fun, is also of very low quality. I don’t think the production is trying to overshadow Tommy Cash. I think he already did it himself.

Albania and Finland are more overrated, as they won’t even be in the top 10.

I can see 4 of those 5 being up there, but I think the Netherlands will struggle to get a top 10 result

Really just hoping for a top 15 position for UK at this point it’s my favourite of the year, if we come bottom again then I’m giving up on Eurovision and think BBC should withdraw

Nonsense, the BBC has to come up with a proper entry. Just like any other broadcaster. This year’s entry is adequate in terms of vocals and presentation, but is not really a “song”, with all these different tempos. If the BBC would send Adèle or Ed Sheeran, the UK would undoubtedly have the winning song. It’s just a matter of taking Eurovision seriously.

The UK would be criticised and ridiculed immensely if Bara Bada Bastu was their entry in English. Nothing wrong in taking a risk. Each to their own as they say. Nothing wrong with the entry, its theatrical, not to everyones taste i respect that, but there are people who do like it, would be nice if respect was reciprocal. Some education in being objective is essential.

Well how is a serious artist supposed to take it seriously if they make him/her jump through the hoops like in a cheap reality show?

They are worth a place in the top 10 in my opinion. Vocally they are the best singers this year. It’s the UK themselves that have not backed their own entry. The credibility of the 3 girls and their talent is outstanding. The song is very British, nothing wrong with this. Be proud of their achievement regardless of the result.

UK will be dead last in the televoting because it’s just a very awful song. It may get some points from jury because vocals are good though.
